Consider a capsule which is a right circular cylinder with a hemisphere on each end. The capsule consists of a cylinder of radius 2 mm and length of 10 mm, with a hemisphere of radius 2 mm on each end.

  1. Set up a double integral that represents the volume of the capsule.
  2. Set up and solve a triple integral that represents the volume of the capsule.

    The Swedish Task-force ON Exotic Drugs (STONED) is currently researching SPEW, a new hallucingenic drug that is purported to cure aids. This new drug contains DiEthel-Adenosine TriHydralazine which is fatal in large doses (more than 5miligrams per day). The density of DiEthel-Adenosine TriHydralazine in a capsule of SPEW is given by

  3. Find the total amount of DiEthel-Adenosine TriHydralazine in one capsule of SPEW if the density is measured in milligrams per cubic millimeter..
  4. If a dosage of two capsules per 12 hours is required to cure aids, is this a viable drug?
