Associate Professor, Adolescence Education Department
I have been teaching in the Adolescence Department of the Ralph C. Wilson School of Education since 2005. My focus is on early adolescence, specifically middle school. In addition to teaching, I enjoy mentoring student teachers because it enables me to be in classrooms observing the important impact our teacher candidates have on learners. I am also a parent of an adolescent son! Traveling, reading, beach combing, and hiking are things I particularly enjoy.
Originally from Florida, I spent part of my childhood and youth in both China and Germany. I have lived and taught in four states: California, Florida, Kentucky and New York.
