Bernard Paul Ricca, Ph.D.

Dr. Bernard Ricca joined the faculty at St. John Fisher College in September, 2007. Prior to joining Fisher's faculty, he was a high school physics and mathematics instructor in Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX, an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Dallas, an Assistant Professor of Education at DePaul University, and an Assistant Professor of Education at Dominican University. Dr. Ricca was the Director of the Graduate Mathematics, Science and Technology Program from 2010-2016, and is currently oversees the Statistics and Data Sciences programs: a minor in Data Science, a BA in Statistics, and a MS in Applied Data Science.

Dr. Ricca received his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Michigan in 1992, studying the physics of musical instruments. He has published in the fields of musical acoustics, technology use in classrooms, English teacher preparation and induction, math education, and pharmacy education in addition to his current research interests in complex systems and data science.
