About Me

Chinwe IkpezeChinwe Ikpeze is an Assistant Professor of Literacy at the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, St John Fisher College, Rochester, NY. She earned her Ph.D. in Literacy Education from the Department of Learning & Instruction, Graduate school of Education,  University at Buffalo (SUNY),  and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology from the same institution. Earlier, Chinwe had bagged a master’s degree in education (M.ED) in Instructional Technology from Ahmadu Bello University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English Education from the University of Port Harcourt, all in Nigeria. She has presented papers at state, national and international conferences including the National Reading ConferenceNational Educational Computing Conference and at the annual meetings of  the American Educational Research Association (AERA)

Her research interests include use of new technologies in diverse settings, teacher learning, curriculum integration, self study research as well as research on urban education and African immigrants. Outside of work, Chinwe likes to play tennis, read novels, watch TV or  vacation with family.
