Dr. McCloskey is the Graduate Program Director for the Wegmans School of Nursing, responsible for both the maintenance and growth of the masters and doctoral programs in nursing at Fisher.

Dr. Cynthia McCloskey is a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) who has been certified as a nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation since 1982. Her current practice site is St. Joseph’s Neighborhood center where she provides gynecologic care to women. 

She teaches in the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs in the Wegmans School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College.  Her research interests are in mid life women’s health, qualitative research and the transition of doctoral students to new roles.  She is currently exploring the transition of DNP students to the role of Doctor of Nursing Practice.
