CSCI 170 - Internet Resources
Assignment #2

Choose TWO topics below that you will search for information on the Internet as if you were working on two research papers.
  1. The 2004 Presidential Election
  2. War of 1812
  3. History of the Cotton Gin
  4. Women's Rights Movement
  5. E-Commerce and the "Dot com"
  6. The International Space Station
  7. Fasion trends of the 90's and 00's
  8. Shakespeare and the Globe theatre
  9. Literary works of the Bronte Sisters
  10. Biography of Benjamin Franklin, Harriet Beacher Stowe, William Jefferson Clinton, Boris Yeltsin, Michael Jordan, Billy Joel, Jesus (choose one)

Surf the web (use search engines, virtual libraries, resource web sites) to find 3 sites with useful research information for each of your 2 topics (so thats 6 sites in all). The sites should be academic or information-worthy and must be "reliable" sources.

E-mail these 6 URLs to me (jbarthelmes@sjfc.edu) in the proper cite format as discussed in class (see the MLA Styleguide for more information on web citation format) along with a description (paragraph) about what information is at this site. Be sure you include your name in the email and have "CSCI 170 Assignment 2" in the subject.
