Assignment #9

Browse the Internet and find one website for each of the following categories: Please do not pick these pages from inside the SJFC domain out of courtesy and humbleness.

Create a page called "design.html" to contain links to these pages, your discussion and URLs of these sites. Link this page off your home page. Points will be deducted for incorrect filenames.

Your discussion should include:

  1. your criteria for determining the best design
  2. your criteria for determining the worst design
  3. how you found the page
  4. the complete URL (clickable link and text)
  5. a discussion of why (in your opinion) these pages fit in each of the categories listed above. If it is the Best design, explain what attributes of the site make it so, and what design ideas could you learn from the site for use in your own development. If it is the Worst design, explain what attributes of the site make it so and suggest ways it can be improved.
Check your page for spelling, grammar, and correct HTML syntax. Also feel free to use graphics and a color scheme to decorate the page.

I expect you to put some thought and analysis into this assignment. Throughout the semester we have looked at many web sites and discussed different issues relating to site design and usage. Make use of this information in your analysis.
