			<p><b>Re: </b>Placement of Managerial Clients</p>
<p>Since our company does management consulting, <q3a>we have two middle-management clients who have come to us looking for management positions</q3a>. Each of the clients is qualified to work at the four large companies in the local region. <q3b>I need you to analyze the four companies</q3b> in the attached data file and <q3c>make a recommendation to each client as to which company they would be better suited to</q3c>. The data file contains a list of the salaries at each of the four companies. There <q4a>are about the same number of managers in each company</q4a> with roughly the same ratios of middle- to upper managers in each.</p>
<p>Each <q1a>of our clients</q1a> has just moved out of the lower <q1b>25pct management rank in his or her previous position</q1b>. They are, however, quite different. Manager A is a <q1c>confident go-getter</q1c> who enjoys leaving the competition behind. <q2c>Manager B, on the other hand, prefers to run with the pack</q2c>. He wants to do well, of course, but stability and security are important.</p>
<p>To get started, you might consider <q2a>generating comprehensive summary statistics</q2a> and <q2b>side-by-side box plots for these four companies</q2b>. Based on what you learn from the box plots make a recommendation of a company for each client. Be sure to provide as much evidence as possible.</p>
