ABOUT ME
I am from St. Louis, Missouri, where I graduated from a Jesuit high school. I later attended St. Louis University for three years and graduated from Santa Clara University in California. After completing my MBA at Washington University, I taught high school and community college business courses for two years in an Alaskan Eskimo village (St. Mary’s). Afterwards, I moved to Anchorage and worked ten years at what is now known as Alaska Pacific University and in two non-profit organizations. Upon receiving a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, I have worked the past twenty years at St. John Fisher College, teaching graduate and undergraduate management courses. In 2008, I was promoted to the rank of full professor. I also served as Chair of the Management Department from 2007 until 2010.
In the Spring of 2011, I will be on sabbatical in Costa Rica, where I will be learning basic Spanish and completing unfinished research.
My wife Pat, four children (Clare, Beth, Anne, and Irene), and I have lived in Fairport, NY for the past twenty years.
