Dr. Schultz joined the School of Education faculty in September, 2005. She attended the State University of New York College at Buffalo, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Elementary Education. She continued her studies, earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and New York State certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education. Susan completed the requirements for the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration, at the State University of New York College at Brockport. She then completed the Educational Leadership doctoral program at the University of Rochester.

Susan’s teaching experience includes preschool, elementary and secondary education in both general and special education classrooms. After receiving certification as a New York State School District Administrator, she became a building administrator as the principal of a special education early childhood Pre K-3 building. She left her administrative position in 2001, to become the Committee on Special Education chairperson for Grand Island Central School District. She also worked as an adjunct at D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York (summer and fall 2005) before joining St. John Fisher College.
