Glossary

 

 

 

        Samp – A corn meal and water paste used as a food. Sometimes acorn meal is used.

 

 

       Venison- The meat of deer.

 

 

       Sachem- The chief of the tribe.

 

 

      Candelabrum- An elaborate lamp using candles.

 

 

       Mastodon- A prehistoric elephant like creature, also known as the Wooly Mammoth.
