The Womans Store has been established ever since the 1950's after women all over the country finally believed that they could start and carry a business. With World War Two in the fog, the US was looking to build and the term "women" desperately needed a new meaning. In 1951 Nancy Deadworth who has always been a fashionista herself decided to start a womans brand of clothes. While the boys were away at school, Nancy would knit and make clothes on her small kitchen counter. However, Nancy knew that she couldn't sell her product immediately because so many of the woman in her neighborhood were dependent on their husbands income until they found work. Therefore Nancy decided to keep making different article of clothing until the proper time arose. In 1956, with the economy appearing to be stable and with the help of her husband John Deadworth, they together started the Womans Store. Almost 75 years later, the store iss till running strong with new leadership and a vision that will transcend the 21st century.
