You reflect IR light back to the SmartNav, which sends instructions to your computer to move your mouse cursor.

Training or supportive information that is required:

SmartNav tracks reflections from a tiny dot, which you can place anywhere.

Place our paper thin tiny reflective dot on the part of your body you'd like to control the cursor with. Preferred options include your head, hand, hat, and glasses.

SmartNav mounts on top of your monitor, laptop or communication device facing you. SmartNav can also be threaded onto a mini tripod and sit next to your computer. The device can be placed anywhere as long as it can see the reflective accessory you've chosen to wear.

First Hand Impression:
I thought this product was a great idea and was easy to use and set up. Once you install the software on your computer it is will always be there. I loved this product and it is great for people with disabilities.

Justification for or against purchase:
If you have a disability where you can not use your hands, it is nice to be able to move just your eyes in replacement of a mouse.

User Friendly				This device comes with directions and is very easy to use, you plug it into the computer, install the program and you are ready to use it.
Portability	.	.		Once you install it on one computer, you have to always use it on that computer. You can't move it around to others.
