Picnik is an online software program which allows the
user to
edit their pictures by cropping, rotating, adding text, shapes,
borders, and special effects. To use the basic software all you
have to do is register for free online at the website. The
premium package cost $24.95 a year. I believe it is

Picnik can be a fun activity to add to the classroom.
With Picnik
students can label pictures, create student projects such as
story or picture books, add effects to pictures for power
point slides, create postcards for penpals, make classroom
decorations and much more. Now that I know how to use
this software I am sure I will incorporate it in the classroom. It
is easy to use so I know the students will not get frustrated.
I recommend this software to any teacher who wants to bring
modern day arts into the classroom.
