Personal Introduction for MSTI 512

After graduating from SJFC in May of 2012 with a Quad Certification in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood, and Childhood Special Education I began substituting for the Rochester City School District. I had a long term (4 months) substitute position in a third grade general education class at the same school I went to as a child in the spring of 2013.

My main plan for this year is to watch my little girl grow up. A benefit of being a teacher is having summers off. I plan on spending many days having play dates and going to parks and zoos. I will also continue my search for a full time teaching job.

When I hear the term engineering I think of people who make stuff. They tinker with items; breaking them a part and putting them back together. Enginers design all sorts of stuff. They are inventors. The invention that has the greatest impact on the humankind in my opinion is the creation of the engine. Quicker transportation allowed for a quicker exchange in thoughts, ideas, people and produce.

I hope to learn a lot in this class. I know nothing about engineering and want to end this semester with a load of information I thought I would of never learn.
