Global Extrema

Finding global extrema is only a little more work than finding local extrema. In addition to finding the local extrema, here you must look at the boundary of the domain of the function as well as the behavior of the function as x and y tend toward $\pm \infty$. Note that global maxima do not exist if the function increases without bound.
