Professor Sharon Delmendo

Ako si Sharon Delmendo.

I received my PhD in English in 1993 from SUNY-Buffalo, finishing my dissertation, "Engendering the American Domestic," in Amherst, MA, on a Five College Minority Fellowship at Hampshire College. Since then I have taught at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.

This web site contains writing resources for students, including tips on writing, a Thesis Worksheet, grammar worksheets, Portfolio and Revision Guidelines. You will also find information about my research projects in Philippine-American studies, including The Star-Entangled Banner: One Hundred Years of America in the Philippines (Rutgers Univeristy Press, 2004), and my manuscript in progress, a study of World War II films set in the Philippines, entitled Pacific Theater: Reel War in the Philippines, 1939-1945.

If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to e-mail me.
