Primary Function
This pen can be used for a thesaurus, a dictionary, a Spanish to English translator and has an auditory capability to read aloud when the pen is scrolled over English text.

Training
The Reading Pen has a user manual and a training feature available under options for further assistance.

Justification
This product is suited for anyone who struggles with ELA, is learning ESL, and anyone who has other literacy/cognitive learning disabilities.

First Hand Impression
I struggled with using this product. I found that the words were hard to scan. I needed to scan the word multiple times. If the words did scan, the Reading Pen didn't recognize all of them. I believe availability to a computer would be more efficent than this pen. The pen would also be hard to grip for those with little hands, or those that don't have very good fine-motor skills. In the picture below is a adult holding the pen;  Now imagine a student whose hands are half the size trying to hold it.
