Tactile Phone
By: Nikko Van Stolk
Released: This is still a concept phone. No release date is planned.
Cost: Unknown
Primary Function
The name of it alone means perceptible by touch.
It allows those who are visually impaired to have a cell phone. Instead of
visual numbers, braille numbers are used. In fact, braille is used for
everything on this phone. The phone uses electrical pulses to simulate braille.
First Hand Impression
I believe this will be a wonderful tool for those who are visually impaired.
They will be able to do everything(check email, internet access, caller id, etc)
one their cell phone just like everyone else.
