A process of metallic silver layer deposition on glass is demonstrated. The old Eastman Kodak black and white photography process was based on silver nanoparticles formation under light exposure. In this demonstration, it is a chemical reduction of silver nitrate salt with glucose. At the same time, glucose is oxidized into gluconic acid.
